In 1993, a National Hockey League team known as the North Stars moved from Minnesota to one of the greatest cities in the southwest, and in the 15 years since then the Dallas Stars have enjoyed as much success as any other team in the NHL. The Stars play in the rugged Western Conference and boast 7 Pacific Division crowns and 2 Western Conference Championships, the second of which ultimately ended by hoisting the 1998-1999 Stanley Cup Trophy.
