The Pittsburgh Steelers compete in the AFC North Division, formerly of the AFC Central. The Steelers major rivals are the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers play their home games at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During the decade of the 70's, the Steelers played their home games at their famous former stadium in PA, Three Rivers Stadium. That stadium witnessed the "Iron Curtain" Defense, one of the most famous in NFL history. The biggest stat testifying to the greatness of the Steelers though, are those 5 Super Bowl Championships: 1974, 1975, 1979, and 2005. The goal for the 2008 season is to make it to the Super Bowl. With the leadership and the team's core remaining unchanged, the biggest opportunity to continue improving the team is through free agency and the draft. The Steelers have 6 picks in the 2008 draft, including the 23rd overall pick. The Steelers have a history of excellent drafts, and Steelers fans are optimistic that this will continue in 2008.
