The Philadelphia Eagles compete in the National Football Conference of the National Football League. The Eagles NFC East Division rivals are the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Redskins. This division produces the most intense rivalries in all the NFC, and probably the entire NFL as well. To say these teams and their fans hated each other would not be an overstatement. The Eagles play their home games in the beautiful Lincoln Financial Field, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Eagle's stadium has a seating capacity of 68,400, and is one of the better NFL venues for taking in a game. The Eagles are lead by head coach Andy Reid, who completed the NFL schedule with an 8-8 record and a 4^th place finish in the NFC East. Reid completed his 9^th season in 2007. The Eagles feel they could have pretty easily been a playoff team in 2007, having lost several extremely close games they feel they should have won. Despite not making the playoffs, the Eagles star players Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, Brian Dawkins, and Kevin Curtis, had some of the best years of any NFC players. Westbrook in particular had one of the best seasons in NFL history, amassing a mind-boggling 1,333 yards rushing and another 771 yards receiving.

The Eagles were established in 1933, and endured a tough decade following their inception. They've won 3 NFL titles, 3 conference championships, and 11 division titles. Their last conference championship was in 2004, narrowly being defeated by the Patriots in the 2004 Super Bowl. They had one of the better runs in team history, winning their division in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. The Eagles are owned by Jeffrey Lourie, who purchased the team in 1994. The GM is Tom Heckert, and shares the decision making of player-personnel with Andy Reid.

After winning the final 3 games of the 2007 season, Coach Reid and the Eagles believe they can get to the next level in 2008. Known for excellent choices in the free agent market and in the NFL Draft, the Eagles signed one of the premiere free agent players in CB Asante Samuel. The Eagles have 11 picks in the 2008 NFL Draft, and look to add quality depth in order to make a playoff run.
